Founded by St. Louis based designer Hairan Zuchelli, HZuchelli is a couture atelier rooted in luxury, heritage and exquisite craft. The Brazilian born designer is a dress historian and textile artist who researches the dress of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour and created the Brazilian Baroness project to honour their memory and visual culture. She studied archives in Brazil, Portugal, Spain and Italy and combines this scholarship and training with fashion design to tell overlooked stories through clothing.
In her studio, Zuchelli drapes, cuts, embroiders and dyes by hand, drawing on skills from pattern making and millinery to embroidery and featherwork. She crafts experiences through manufacturing, precision engineering, innovation and fiber artistry, and her repertoire spans bespoke ball gowns, corseted mermaid tails and high fashion apparel.
HZuchelli believes luxury should be meaningful. Each piece marries haute couture techniques with a respect for history and inclusive storytelling. By weaving together centuries old craftsmanship, diverse narratives and modern silhouettes, the brand offers a style that is both timeless and boldly contemporary. Through this reverence for legacy, HZuchelli celebrates the glamour of couture while uplifting Brazilian communities and heritage.
